We're Pardis Food ("we", "us", or "our"), and this page sets out, in plain language, what information we collect when you use this website — including when you submit a wholesale order through our order form — and what we do with it.
Information we collect
Just by browsing the site, we collect the same basic technical details most websites do: your browser type, your device, and how you move through the pages you visit. If you request an order verification code, we also briefly note a truncated, non-identifying part of your IP address — see "Email verification & abuse prevention" below for exactly what that means and how long we keep it.
When you submit an order or reach out through our contact form, we collect whatever you give us directly — things like your name, business name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and the items you're requesting.
How we use this information
- To review and respond to the orders and enquiries you send us.
- To confirm pricing, availability, and delivery details with you before we finalize an order.
- To stay in touch about your orders, your account, or any questions you've raised with us.
- To keep the records we're required to for our own accounting, inventory, and legal obligations.
- To let you know about new stock, availability, or wholesale offers we think are relevant to your business, using the phone number or email address you gave us when you placed an order or got in touch.
We never sell your personal information to third parties.
Marketing communications
Placing an order or otherwise getting in touch with Pardis Food starts a business relationship between us, and under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) that gives us implied consent to send you commercial electronic messages by phone or email — things like new stock, availability, or offers related to the products we carry — without having to ask separately each time.
That consent doesn't last forever, and it's never a condition of doing business with us. Every marketing message we send includes a way to unsubscribe, and you're welcome to withdraw consent, or ask us not to contact you for marketing at all, any time — just get in touch using the details below and we'll stop within 10 business days, as CASL requires. That's separate from the account and order-related messages mentioned above, which we'll still need to send you to fulfil an order already in progress, even after you've unsubscribed from marketing.
Orders submitted through this site
Submitting an order through our site sends us a request — it isn't a confirmed sale. As explained in our Terms & Conditions, we review every order against current stock and pricing before accepting it, so the details you submit (your contact and delivery information, the items requested) are kept on file for that review and for any order that results, even if the order is later adjusted or can't be fulfilled after all.
Cookies
This site uses a small amount of local browser storage to remember what's in your order cart between pages, so the items you've added are still there when you come back to check out. That information stays on your own device and is never used to track you across other websites.
Email verification & abuse prevention
Before an order request can be submitted, we send a one-time verification code to the email address you've given us, just to confirm it's a real, correctly-typed address before we act on it.
To stop this system being misused — for example, someone using it to send unwanted verification emails to a stranger's inbox — we temporarily note a truncated part of the IP address the request came from (the last portion of the address is removed before anything is kept), never your complete IP address. This partial address is used only to limit how many codes can be requested in a short period, and is automatically and permanently deleted a short while later (currently 20 minutes), whether or not you come back to the site again. It's never linked to your name, your order, or any other information you give us, and we don't use it for tracking, analytics, or anything beyond this one abuse check.
Sharing your information
We don't share what you give us with outside companies for their own marketing purposes. We may share it with service providers who help us run this website or fulfil your order (delivery, for example), and only to the extent that's actually needed for that purpose.
Data retention
We keep order and enquiry information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described above, and after that, for as long as our accounting and legal obligations require.
Your choices
You're welcome to ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, any time — just get in touch.
